Superintendent Pontrelli and her leadership team is continually seeking input from our community members to ensure that our district is meeting the needs of our students, families and residents both today and into the future.
The Superintendent’s Community Advisory Council brings together people with different perspectives to talk about a common interest – our students.
The council’s role is to engage in open communication between the community and district leaders for the benefit of all students. The group meets several time a year to talk about the challenges and opportunities that exist in our current system.
The council is comprised of about 50 members - parents and community members from each of our 18 communities (see roster below) - and represents the changing demographics of our school district.
- Parent representative from each of the district’s schools
- Representative from community organizations and foundations
- Business leaders
- School board representative
- Community at large
- Teachers (one from each level)
Student Innovation Council
Superintendent Pontrelli also meets with Student Innovation Councils at each junior high and the high school. These groups are made up of students, who meet several times each year to share their perspectives and lend student voice to conversations about our schools.
