Stillwater Junior High musicians earn top honors at the WorldStrides Heritage Festival

Musicians from Stillwater Junior High swept the competition at the WorldStrides Heritage Festival. Students in band, choir and orchestra performed at the Chicago festival last weekend. SJHS had total of six groups performing and all six received Gold Awards, which is the top level. In addition, the following specialty awards were earned:

In addition, the SJHS visual arts students had the chance to take an Architectural Boat tour on the Chicago River. They spent time at the Chicago Institute of Art, Millennium Park, Navy Pier, and got to "Tilt" on the 94th floor of the Hancock Tower. The visual arts students also visited the Ghirardelli store, Andy's Jazz Club, and supported the music groups in their competition.
