SMS Tree of Humanity

Mrs. Logan's 8th grade Honors English classes recently completed a unit on Anne Frank and the Holocaust.  In response to that unit, they created an art piece titled "The Tree of Humanity".  Students were driven to create this piece after processing the atrocities and despair that occurred during World War II.  Students were also inspired by the Resistance and those who chose to make a stand to fight for what is right, true, and good.  "The Tree of Humanity" stands tall with branches reaching out to the world representing the hope for people every where.  It also represents the students wish for love, peace, and acceptance worldwide.
