Mission Statement

To provide a comprehensive, developmental counseling program addressing the academic, career, and personal/social development of all students. With a strong emphasis on relationships, counselors make it a high priority to know their individual students. School counselors are professional school advocates who provide support to maximize student potential and academic achievement while preparing students with the knowledge and skills to contribute at their highest level as productive members of society.

STUDENT RESOURCES

Homework Hangout at SMS

Does your student need additional academic support? One resource that is FREE and available to ALL students is HOMEWORK HANGOUT! Homework Hangout, meets every Tuesday and Thursday after school from 2:30 - 3:30 in Room E127. This club, under the guidance of our Promise Fellows, works to teach students the skills they need to to organize, prioritize and complete assignments in a timely fashion. We invite students to come check out Homework Hangout and take advantage of this free hour of time to form the habit of completing homework, studying for tests, and ultimately improving their grade(s)!
 

SEMESTER HONOR ROLLS

SMS Semester 1 2016-2017 Honor Rolls are available HERE. High Honor Roll includes those students whose semester GPA is 3.500 of higher. Honor Roll include those students whose semester GPA is a 3.000 - 3.4999.
