SAHS Smart reStart Plan for 2020-2021

August 07, 2020

The 2020-2021 school year will begin in a hybrid model for students across the district.

So what does that mean at Stillwater Area High School?
The hybrid model is a mix of in-person and at-home learning that allows us to divide our students into two different groups to reduce the number of people in our buildings at one time. Students would attend school two days a week in either an “A” group or a “B” group. When they're not in school, students will be learning online at home. In our model, students will be taking just three classes each quarter, which allows them to better focus on content and navigate between in-person and at-home learning. It is important to note that just because we start in hybrid doesn't mean we'll stay in hybrid. That's why we call this option "Learning On The Dial." It is very likely we will have to shift between hybrid, in-person and distance learning models at various times in the year as COVID rates fluctuate.

Families who are not comfortable sending their children to school can choose a 100% Online option.
