Registration is now open for ACT test being held on March 24, 2020

November 01, 2019

On March 24, 2020, all 11th grade students will have the opportunity to take the ACT at SAHS. The ACT is a standardized assessment commonly used for college admissions in the United States. Using a multiple choice testing format, the ACT assesses the four academic skill areas of English, mathematics, reading and science reasoning. A fifth test in the subject of writing requires students to write an essay based on a particular prompt.

The ACT will be available to all juniors as well as those seniors who did not take the ACT as a part of the state ACT testing program at SAHS last year. This is an opt-in opportunity; only students who register will take the test. Registration for ACT testing on March 24 must be completed through feepay by February 1, 2020.

The cost for the ACT with writing is $68.00. This cost is the responsibility of students/families and must be paid on feepay when registering a student. To overcome any financial barriers, there will be an option to indicate financial need on feepay and receive a fee waiver.

School will be in session on March 24, all classes will meet as usual. The ACT assessment will be administered in a designated area of the building. Please note that there are additional ACT testing opportunities on Saturdays throughout the year as a part of the ACT national testing program. See the ACT website for more information: act.org
