Tech in Social Studies

Technology at SAHS

Stillwater Area High School provides students and staff with a digital learning environment to support 21st century learning. Technology is integrated into the learning environment, and students have access to a variety of digital devices both in and out of the classroom. We also use technology to connect with parents.

  • Stay connected with Skyward Family Access
Grade reports, homework assignments, test scores, progress reports, messages from teachers, special school announcements and much more will be communicated with parents through Skyward Family Access. If you do not have Internet access, please contact your Pony Student Centers for alternative arrangements to receive mid-term progress reports and report cards.
  • Student Email (Cloud Account)
Each student is provided a school email account within Google Apps. Students are expected to check their accounts on a regular basis for class and building information, as well as to communicate with teachers and fellow students.
  • BYOD (Bring Your Own Device)
In support of a learning environment enhanced by technology, students are encouraged to bring their own technology device (smart phone, tablet, laptop, etc.) to school. We have a dedicated wireless network to support student access, called Ponynet. To get access to Ponynet, bring your device to the technology help desk in room D220.
  • SAHS encourages students to use Chromebooks as their technology device. Chromebooks will be used as the main technological tool across content areas (Social Studies, Language Arts, Science, World Language, etc...).
