English Learners

Our English Learner (EL) program offers a variety of classes and services for students who need help in learning and becoming fluent in English. EL students have a first or home language other than English, and qualify for services based on a proficiency assessment in the language domains of Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. EL students receive the greatest part of their instruction in general education classrooms, but EL staff also collaborate with these content teachers to provide needed language supports.
