March 1: Kindergarten Orientation

March 01, 2019
Teacher reading to students

Attend Rutherford Kindergarten Orientation on Friday, March 1
Parents are encouraged to attend orientation along with their soon-to-be kindergarten student. This event allows your child to spend some time in the kindergarten classroom with a teacher, while parents learn more about the program from the principal and support staff. More information can be found here. Also submit your child's School Health Examination Form and Student Immunization Form, if completed.

There is no school for current kindergarten students on this day.

Before the First Day of Kindergarten reminders:

- Make sure your child's immunizations are up-to-date or waivers are signed.
- Make sure your child has had a School Health Examination/Physical.
- If you haven't done so already, submit the School Health Examination Form (to be completed by your child's doctor) and a Student Immunization Form to your child's school at least one week prior to the start of school. These forms must be submitted before your child will be allowed to attend school.
- If you haven't done so already, make an appointment for an Early Childhood Screening which is required by the state in order to start kindergarten.
