Get To Know Afton-Lakeland

Welcome to the Afton-Lakeland Elementary School website. We are located in the Stillwater Area Public Schools District,1.5 miles south of Interstate 94, along the beautiful St. Croix River, on the border between the towns of Lakeland and Lakeland Shores.

Afton-Lakeland is home to 500 students in grades Pre-K-5. With an outstanding staff supporting them, students are challenged and nurtured to thrive in all curriculum areas. A new STEM program enhances the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics areas. SMART Boards are used in many classrooms and in our media center to enhance the lessons.

At Afton-Lakeland, you will find great parent support, a strong PTA and a dedicated group of adults assisting students to thrive in an environment built upon strong relationships.

relationships are developed and students are prepared for life-long learning in a

Vision (where we want to be)
Stillwater Area Public Schools will be schools of excellence where all students
have high quality, comprehensive and individualized educational experiences,
preparing them for successful post-secondary education, fulfilling careers and
positive contributions in the global community.
