Michael (Mike) began his career in education in 2006, first in the Chisago Lakes School district, then in Fridley, and joined Stillwater Area Public Schools in 2010. He currently supervises the Stillwater PAES Lab and teaches a Transition Skills Seminar in a community based setting.  Mike also is a SkillsUSA Advisor; SkillsUSA is a Career and Technical Education Student Organization new to SAHS in the 2012-13 school year.

Outside of teaching, Mike enjoys cycling, running, hiking and cross country skiing, as well as cooking and spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters.

Mike's professional accomplishments include earning a B.B.A. in Finance from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, and a graduate level teaching certificate from Bethel University in St. Paul, MN.  In the last year, Mike has worked with a team of four of his colleagues to develop and re-define Stillwater Area Schools Post-Secondary Transition program to better address the myriad of issues students face upon leaving high school.
