Japanese taiko drummers to perform at Withrow Elementary

Thanks to generous donations from the Withrow Elementary Association as well as from current and retired paraprofessionals of the school, Withrow Elementary School will be hosting a performance of three Japanese taiko drummers from the Mu Performing Arts on Friday, March 30, from 9:30-10:15 a.m.

Seven students from the Stillwater Area Public School District were among the 400 students selected to present their science projects at the Minnesota State Science Fair on March 18-20.

Spotlight: Withrow Elementary is Seeing Blue!

On January 5th, Withrow Elementary received some very exciting news - we learned that we were one of only eight schools in the state to be nominated by the Minnesota Department of Education as a "Blue Ribbon School!"

Stillwater Area High School senior Anna Morris, editor-in-chief of the Pony Express Newspaper, has won the first place Journalism Education Association Journalist of the Year (JOY) Award for the State of Minnesota.

Each year, the school district joins with The Partnership Plan for Stillwater Area Schools to recognize a few outstanding alumni who have made a significant contribution to their community or to their chosen career path.

PBIS at Lily Lake Elementary improving school-wide behavior and climate

Lily Lake Elementary is in its first year of becoming a Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS) school. PBIS is a school-wide, comprehensive approach for improving school behavior and the climate of schools and is based on principles of applied behavior analysis and the prevention approach.
