Superintendent’s Advisory Council now forming

September 19, 2016

The district is seeking input from our community members to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our students, families and residents both today and into the future.

We’re forming a Superintendent’s Advisory Council to bring together people with different perspectives to talk about a common interest – our students.

The council’s role will be to engage in open communication between the community and district leaders for the benefit of all students. The group will come together two to three times a year to talk about the challenges and opportunities that exist in our current system.

The council will be made up of parents and community members from each of our 18 communities, and will represent the changing demographics of our school district. To ensure broad representation, the applications for potential members will be evaluated on a variety of factors, including geographic location, demographics, and areas of interest and/or expertise.

If you are interested, please apply online by Oct. 1, 2016.  Council members will be selected in early October. The first Superintendent Advisory Council meeting will be held on Oct. 18.
