Ten students from the Class of 2018 graduated from the SAHS Special Education program on May 25.

After the SAHS orchestra played “Pomp and Circumstance,” Assistant Principal Chris Otto delivered the faculty commencement speech. Each student was then called up on stage by Special Education Teacher Deb Gray and recognized for their individual activities and involvement at SAHS over the years. The ceremony ended with the students tossing their graduation caps in the air.

Many students love the experience of a smaller, personalized ceremony at Stillwater Area High School. Other students also enjoy participating in the larger graduation ceremony to be held at Roy Wilkins Auditorium on June 2.

A cake and refreshment reception followed the event where proud family, friends, teachers, and staff posed for photos to congratulate the new graduates and shared in the celebration.
