Stillwater Middle School sixth grader Natalie Jansen is doing her part to help stop the spread of COVID-19. In between distance learning she’s sewing face masks. Natalie knows first-hand about the big need for personal protection equipment because her dad is a full-time firefighter/EMT.
So far she’s made more than 100 masks. About 30 went to Lakeview Hospital, another 30 went to an inpatient mental health facility for teenage boys, and the rest have been given to family and friends and people she knows in the healthcare and emergency medical field. Way to go, Natalie!
