Middle school student honored for saving teacher's life

Oak-Land Middle School sixth grader Katie Peterson was honored for saving her teacher's life. The 11-year-old was given a lifesaving award by the Washington County Sheriff's Office for helping her teacher who was having a heart attack. Mr. Britton was experiencing shortness of breath and chest pains as students were leaving his classroom. Katie realized something was wrong - and despite Mr. Britton telling her he was okay - she went and got help. Last week, Mr. Britton was able to say thank you once again.
