School to begin two hours late on Tuesday, Jan. 23

Buses will pick up students two hours later than usual today. There will be NO AM preschool in the elementary buildings and NO AM classes at the Early Childhood Family Center.

Junior high music departments earn top ratings at Chicago Heritage Festival

Our junior high music departments had a successful showing in Chicago. Students with the Stillwater Junior High bands, orchestra and choirs competed at Worldstrides Heritage Festival on April 8 as well as the Oak-Land Junior High choirs. The SJHS Red Band was named Top Band at the festival, outscoring several high school bands to win the Adjudicator Award. The SJHS band, orchestra and choir also won Festival Sweepstakes for the top three music groups. The 8/9 grade men and women’s choirs from OLJH both earned gold ratings with 8th grader Maddie Motz and 9th grader Ryan Jinks winning the Ovation Award for solos.
