Get your groove on at halftime!

September 12, 2016

Join us at the Ponies Football game for a “Crank It Like a Chainsaw” halftime spectacular! The Stillwater Physical Education Department is inviting all elementary students and their families to participate in the 3-minute dance routine. The event will take place at halftime when the Ponies host Forest Lake on Wednesday, October 19 at 7 p.m. Our goal is to have more than 1,000 students on the field, under the lights, and in front the Stillwater community promoting physical activity and healthy living!

All participating students will be given a wristband by their physical education teacher to get in free. 5th & 6th graders are especially encouraged to participate and serve as leaders for their younger peers. We are also looking for at least 10 adult volunteers from each elementary school to officially help on the field. Please contact the physical education teacher in your building if you are interested.

Participants young and old are asked to wear a red Pony t-shirt. At the end of the first quarter an announcement will be made for participants to gather on the track at the south end of Pony Stadium. Parents are asked to escort their students to avoid problems. Parents who are not participating can remain on the track to watch the dance and then take their child back to the stands. The dance will be videotaped and posted on our website.

You can help your child practice at home with this video. Watch out, the song and dance are contagious!
