Help local students have a great start to their school year!

Donate new school supplies to local students as part of the community's annual Stuff the Bus initiative. 

Donation requests include: 

  • Adult/teen backpacks 
  • Pens 
  • Black Sharpies 
  • Clorox wipes 
  • Headphones 
  • Twist colored crayons 
  • Expo markers 
  • Clip boards 
  • 3” binders – standard & zip 
  • Sheet protectors 
  • Soft pencil cases 
  • Scissors (pointed)
  • Scientific & Graphing calculators (gently used accepted) 
  • Texas Instruments calculator (TI-30XS) 
  • Post-Its 
  • Mechanical pencils 
  • Ticonderoga Dixon (preferred) pencils 
  • Plastic, 2-pocket folders 
  • Planners 
  • Lunch boxes/bags 
  • Kleenex 
  • Masking tape, Scotch tape & double-sided tape 
  • Elmer’s (preferred) glue sticks 
  • Fun folders 
  • Graphing paper (notebooks) 
  • Hand sanitizing wipes & baby wipes 
  • Divider tabs with pockets 
  • Divider tabs without pockets 
  • Ziplock bags 
  • Notebooks 


Drop off new school supplies at Community Thread or United Way of Washington County – East July 5 – August 5 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Prefer to do your shopping online? Use the Stuff the Bus Amazon Wish List to purchase needed supplies. To make a cash donation, please visit uwwce.org/donate and designate "Stuff the Bus".

Families can receive school supplies for their children. Supplies will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Registration will open online on July 27 at 9 a.m. and end August 12 at 12 p.m.
