Thoughtexchange Results May 2019
May 09, 2019

We asked you what was working and what could be improved in our schools and you’ve answered. More than 1,800 residents, parents, staff and students weighed in with their thoughts as part of our latest Thoughtexchange.

Thoughtexchange is an online conversation that allows our stakeholders to share thoughts and ideas with school district staff and school board members. Participants are able to share their ideas, read and consider other people’s ideas, and help establish priorities for district leaders to consider in their planning for the future.

For two weeks in March 2019, a total of 1,812 participants offered up 2,718 thoughts ranging from praise for our incredible staff and our focus on social/emotional learning, to concerns about student behavior/discipline, class sizes, and facilities.

The main themes that emerged from the conversation were around the areas of School Board and Administration Leadership and Planning; Student Support, Staffing, Curriculum and Instruction, and Facilities and Maintenance.
