Winning Da Vinci Fest artists honored with a gallery show

Art work by local students who were the winning artists during the recent Da Vinci Fest is on display at Stillwater Art Guild Gallery in downtown Stillwater.

Da Vinci Fest, which was held Jan. 7, is the annual arts, science and creativity fair for Stillwater area students.  Sponsored by The Partnership Plan for Stillwater Area Public Schools, it is open to all students in grades 4th through 12th who live within the District 834 boundaries, no matter where they go to school.

The show is mounted in a special gallery at Art Guild, and is the second time the gallery has honored local student artists who were the winners in the art division at Da Vinci Fest.  Nearly 15 students were invited to display their work in the show, which includes painting, drawing, ceramics, mixed media, fiber arts and photography. The student works will be on display at Art Guild until Feb. 12.

The Partnership Plan is the nonprofit educational fund that provides resources to enrich, engage and enhance the educational experience of Stillwater Area Public School students. Stillwater Art Guild Gallery, on Main Street in downtown Stillwater, displays work by more than 60 Wisconsin and Minnesota artists.
