Programs for Special Needs
Special education services are provided in each District 834 school to support students who meet the Minnesota eligibility criteria of a student with a disability. Special education teachers, speech language pathologists, occupational and physical therapist, school psychologists, school nurses and other professionals provide instructional services and support to students and staff serving students.
As much as possible, the District strives to deliver necessary services to the student in the neighborhood school. In few occasions, students may need to be placed in another school site where more services are available.
If you suspect your child has a disability, contact your child's teacher or the building principal who can connect you with the school psychologist in your building.
